Molina Health Insurance

Princeton Detox & Recovery Center is the tri-state area’s leading addiction detoxification center, serving New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Every individual we serve is unique, and as such is provided with an individualized treatment plan specific to their needs. In addition, no two insurance policies are the same, and for this reason, we work closely with your insurance provider to ensure the affordability of your treatment.

Molina Insurance is one of several providers accepted by the Princeton Detox & Recovery Center. Your Molina benefits may extend to your inpatient treatment, outpatient services, or after-care programs. What your plan covers is dependent upon the details of your individualized treatment plan, and the benefits of your Molina health insurance plan as outlined in your Molina Healthcare member’s handbook.

Molina Healthcare insures nearly 2 million Americans who qualify for Medicare or Medicaid programming. In some states, Molina also offers marketplace plans in the categories of bronze, silver, and gold for those transitioning from government-supported health plans such as Medicaid to the marketplace. Founded in California in 1980, the insurance provider now extends to close to twenty states, including Puerto Rico. Molina Healthcare covers treatment for alcohol and drug dependency under the arm of Molina Behavioral Healthcare. Molina’s behavioral health benefits extend to inpatient residential treatment, outpatient treatment and services, and doctor visits.

For plans that include Behavioral Health coverage, by law, mental and behavioral health services must be provided with the same benefits, deductibles, and co-pays as for any other medical or surgical care. If your Molina plan is a marketplace plan, spending limits are not allowed on coverage of essential health benefits, which include mental health and substance use disorder treatment.

For the quickest way to find out about your Molina benefits and how they may reduce your out-of-pocket expenses, you may call us at any time to speak with a Treatment Advisor. Our phone call is completely confidential, but you should be prepared to share the following:

  • Your full name and date of birth
  • Your policyholder’s name
  • Your policy’s group and member number

Your Molina Healthcare plan may cover some or all of the costs associated with inpatient detoxification and related medications, as well as inpatient and outpatient addiction recovery services such as the following:

  • Medical and psychological evaluation
  • Individual or group therapy
  • Family therapy
  • Aftercare programs and case management

The amount of each service covered by your Molina Healthcare plan is dependent on any of the following factors:

  • Your past history of treatment for substance abuse
  • A history of inpatient treatment for mental health issues
  • Your Molina deductible and copayment amounts
  • The state you live in, where your healthcare plan originated
  • If your marketplace plan is in the category of bronze, silver, or gold
  • The state in which your Molina health plan originated

Your plan’s deductible is the amount that you must pay out of pocket before Molina Healthcare will begin providing benefits. Your copayment amount is a one-time fee associated with certain services or medications. You may need to see a doctor or get treatment at a facility that is in network with your Molina Healthcare plan for your benefits to be maximized. You do not need to seek a referral for behavioral health services.

Each of the above parameters is outlined in your Molina Healthcare member’s handbook, or you may find out what your deductible and copayment amounts are, or if Princeton Detox & Recovery is within your network of preferred providers by calling (888) 693-1769 with your health insurance-related questions. Our Treatment Advisors will provide you with an understanding of your insurance benefits as they apply to your individual case and your specific treatment plan at the Princeton Detox & Recovery Center.
