Independence BCBS

At Guardian Recovery, we believe nothing should stand in the way of your recovery, especially financial worry. That is why we proudly accept Independence BCBS as well as many other major insurance plans. Using your insurance benefits can significantly reduce or even completely cover the cost of treatment and make high-quality care more accessible when you or a loved one needs it most.

Our admissions team will walk you through every step with compassion and clarity, ensuring you understand your coverage and helping you feel supported, not overwhelmed. Hope and healing should never be out of reach, and we are here to make sure cost is not the reason you delay the life-changing care you deserve.

Independence BCBS Health Insurance

As the tri-state area’s leading addiction detoxification center, Princeton Detox & Recovery manages each case with special care. This entails working closely with your insurance provider to help cover the cost of services provided under your individualized treatment plan. We want your time with us to be stress-free and effective – and this all begins with affordability.

Princeton Detox & Recovery Center works with most major insurers, including Independence BCBS. Your plan with Independence may be an HMO, PPO, EPO, or a Medicare or Medicaid plan. Each of these plan types has benefits that extend to inpatient treatment, outpatient services, and after-care programs. How much of your individualized treatment plan is covered by your insurance plan depends on several factors, including your plan’s deductible, copayment amounts, past use of coverage for substance abuse treatment or inpatient mental health services, and the member agreement associated with your specific Independence BCBS plan.

Independence BCBS is a licensee of Blue Cross Blue Shield and insures close to eight million Americans. Members have access to the Blue Cross health care network, which includes Princeton Detox & Recovery Center. All Independence BCBS plans include substance use disorder coverage under their Behavioral Health benefits. By law, mental and behavioral health services must be provided with the same benefits, deductibles, and co-pays as for any other medical or surgical care, and spending limits on such benefits are not allowed.

Some benefits may require preauthorization from a primary care provider. A Treatment Advisor at Princeton Recovery & Detox will work with you to ensure that each of these pre-authorization requirements is met.

Your health plan may cover some or all of the costs associated with detoxification and related medications, as well as inpatient and outpatient addiction recovery services. Typical Independence BCBS benefits include:

  • Medical and psychological evaluation
  • Prescription medications to ease withdrawal symptoms
  • Inpatient detoxification
  • Outpatient rehabilitation services
  • Individual and/or group therapy
  • Family therapy
  • Aftercare programs and case management

The limits of your specific Independence BCBS benefits may vary depending on the following factors:

  • Your plan’s deductible, copayment, and coinsurance amounts
  • If your plan is an HMO with in-network requirements, versus a PPO or EPO
  • The state in which your healthcare plan originated
  • If your plan is a Medicare or Medicaid plan
